Financial planning, Director of Growth and Expansion, Manager, and substitute Field Operations.

We have an awesome team. We are on the bleeding edge of conservation tillage and have been successful transitioning.
What sets Ryberg Farms apart?
We are a very innovative operation that incorporates technology in many ways in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. We enjoy what we do and like to have fun while we work. In addition, we enjoy sharing the ideas and successes we have had with other producers!

How many years have you worked for Ryberg Farms?
I have worked for Ryberg Farms full time for 13 years, but prior to that I worked part time all through high school.
What are your responsibilities with the operation?
I take care of the technology side of the farm which includes setting up GPS equipment, creating variable rate maps as needed, trouble shoot when problems arise, and keep all of our mapping software in sync with each other. Besides the technology, I run a planter in the spring, sprayer in the summer, sugar beet lifter in the fall as well as our strip till machine. I also fill in with whatever is needed, whether it’s jumping in the combine for a couple hours, or running the grain cart, salford, side dresser, or hauling corn. In the fall I also help keep an eye on the bin site, running the dryer, and managing corn storage/loading out when the time comes.
What do you like best about working for Ryberg Farms?
The best part about working at Ryberg Farms is the opportunity to face the challenges that are presented throughout each farming year, and to meet new people through all aspects of the farming operation.
What sets Ryberg Farms apart?
Ryberg Farms is set apart from most other farms because of our strip tillage system and the willingness to always try new and innovative ideas that are presented to us to help improve productivity and profitability.

How many years have you worked for Ryberg Farms?
What are your responsibilities with the operation?
I don’t have one particular job, but my role involves being an Equipment Operator and Truck Driver and when I’m not doing that I’m a jack of all trades!
What do you like best about working for Ryberg Farms?
The best part about working here is the flexibility and hours that I am able to work to meet my family needs. I also like having any resource accessible to me that I need to complete repair jobs.
What sets Ryberg Farms apart?
How family oriented Ryberg Farms is. I have a daughter with special needs and I am always allowed the time away to be there with her whenever she needs. There have been times when I have needed many days off and that has never been held against me.
Jake Kaufmann

How many years have you worked for Ryberg Farms?
4 years.
What are your responsibilities with the operation?
In the fall I run the combine, and in the spring/summer I am running the self propelled Hagie sprayer and spraying fields pre- and post- emerge. During the winter I am usually working on equipment repairs in the shop and occasionally hauling some corn or beans to the Elevator or Ethanol plants.
What do you like best about working for Ryberg Farms?
I like that there is always something to do to keep us busy and productive. Whether we are busy in the fields in the spring/fall, tiling fields in the summer, getting equipment ready during the off-season, or building projects to make things run smoother, there is always a project to be working on.
What sets Ryberg Farms apart?
What sets Ryberg Farms apart has to be the strip-tilling work and focus of the operation. You don’t see many other farming operations doing this around the area. The Ryberg Farms operation is trying to diversify the farming practices in the area by always trying something different or improving in different ways through equipment or practices. When it comes to the practices of the field, Ryberg Farms is always looking for better ways to do things the next year.
